The first level Internet Service Providers represent the backbone of the Internet. They are naturally international and are interconnected. Thanks to this structure, Data I-Gnet SRL owns a completely autonomous network called I-Gnet.Net.

In the ISP network there are POPs (Point of presence) which represent connection points between the various ISPs. Therefore the I-Gnet.Net networking is connected to ISP through Nap and private peering points.
